New Publication for 24th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation

Our paper "Accurate physics-based modeling of electric vehicle energy consumption in the SUMO traffic microsimulator" was accepted for publication at the 24th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation (ITSC2021). This contribution deals with the development of a microscopic energy consumption model for electric vehicles using the open-source traffic flow simulation SUMO. By means of this model, the future energy demand caused by electric mobility is analyzed for different market penetrations using the example of a large German city. The authors around Lucas Koch are pleased to be able to present their results to a broad public.
