Project launch VISION
Participation in project VISION starting July 2022
The Teaching and Research Area Mechatronics in Mobile Propulsion is participating in the project VISION. The aim of this project is to refine the LOGE-RT software for real-time emission prediction based on detailed chemistry and to extend it to the modeling of exhaust manifolds and engine exhaust aftertreatment.
The new models to be developed represent the "virtual" sensors of a powertrain, which are used to reproduce the real environment of the complex interaction between the real engine ECU and the exhaust sensors (temperatures, emissions, etc.) on the vehicle.
The real-time capable platform with validated model accuracy achieved in this way enables the software tool to be used for HiL-based virtual calibration purposes.
In this way, the efficiency of calibration and optimization tasks on the HiL test bench and thus their acceptance can be significantly increased.
