Visit of Minister Ina Brandes
RWTH Aachen is happy to welcome the Minister for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia
Ina Brandes has taken a look into the enormous progress made in the automotive sector. In addition to drive technology, future vehicles will differ significantly from today's concepts in terms of connectivity and autonomous driving functions. In the same way, electrification is becoming immensely relevant as one of the key technologies for reducing or avoiding emissions.
As head of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Ina Brandes visited the Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Conversion Systems (TME), where the Teaching and Research Area Mechatronics in Mobile Propulsion (MMP) is located. Accompanied by Professors Jakob Andert, Stefan Pischinger and Ulrich Rüdiger, the latest scientific developments were presented. At the same time, the participants had the opportunity to experience these developments directly using the self-developed driving simulator, that is already a part of research and teaching for some time.
