New Publication in Journal "Energies"

Our new article "Efficiency Increase through Model Predictive Thermal Control of Electric Vehicle Powertrains" has been published in the journal "Energies". The authors around Alexander Wahl present an approach to exploit temperature-dependent efficiencies using a model predictive control (MPC) approach in combination with an active grille shutter in an economically reasonable way. This accelerates the heating of the permanent magnet synchronous machine, which in turn has a positive effect on the range of battery-powered electric vehicles (BEVs).
